Training the People of India to Become Leaders
When it comes to missions, self-supporting nationals are leading the way. They speak the local language with ease, have the insider’s view on the culture, and need no visa. They are Indian-born, Spirit-led, and willing to pay a price so others can find new life in Christ. We believe in training the people of India to become leaders in their homes, communities, and churches.
Working in 5 villages each, Serve India’s national pastors proclaimed Christ in 4,250 villages and started 421 church plants in 2010.
The vision before us: equip 20,000 national pastors to reach 100,000 villages.
Sponsor a Pastor and provide leadership training and other expenses for a national pastor for $35 a month!
How we stand behind national pastors And Other Church LEaders
Training. We ground pastors and other leaders in the Word of God and equip them with essential ministry skills using a well-rounded systematic curriculum through BILD International.
Evangelism tools. Bicycles, Gospel tracts, VCD projectors for community film showings, and even musical instruments for worship—such tools and more are provided to pastors upon request, free of charge. These important tools provide a way to reach the people of India more effectively.
Funds for ministry expansion and training. Each pastor or leader with us receives a modest monthly amount to cover expenses incurred for both outreach and training resources throughout his 5-year affiliation with Serve India.
